The Spring 2010 issue of Daedalus — the Journal of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences — is all about journalism.  (Full text is available at the AAA&S web site; UW-Madison faculty, staff, and students can also access the full text through our library’s ProQuest subscription.)  Plenty of well-known media scholars weigh in, such as Herbert Gans, Kathleen Hall Jamieson, and Michael Schudson, to name a few.  And Madison gets a mention or two, especially with respect to the Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism (Brant Houston, one of the key partners in the center, talks about it in his piece “The future of investigative journalism“).  Give it a read and comment below.
